Box Tree Push Pull Strategy
The area where the pheromone will "Pull"
BuxAllure is the Pull section of the strategy, when the Box Tree Moth flys into the area of the pheromone, it will be pulled towards the trap to be caught. the kit consists of a mini moth catcher and three pheromones, each pheromone has an expected life of 4 weeks and should be replenished with fresh lures for effective results. The pheromones are manufactured into a polythene vial, the vial is a semi permeable vial which allows us to control the release rate of the pheromone. All pheromones are ready to use, so there is no to release/remove the cap or pierce the vial. The unused pheromones will need to be stored in a freezer until called upon.
This will attract the male moths and trap them; this will prevent them from mating, reducing the amount of eggs laid in the area and causing damage to your box plants.
The area where BuxElude will "Push"
BuxElude is a solution that sits between two other products within the strategy, we have been able to formulate a repellent that last for 3 months and will deter the caterpillars and also the push the moths away from your Box plant. We have designed the product to be a simple blister pack that can been hidden out of eyesight and in the heart of the box plant.
